PITO - Physician Information Technology Office
The Physician Information Technology Office. PITO's responsibility is to support BC physicians implementing electronic medical records in their medical practices. It is a joint BCMA and Ministry of Health project. PITO assists physicians with pre-implementation planning, implementation, and provides reimbursement of 70% of eligible costs.
Interior Health Physician Office Integration
Physician Office Integration Project: POI is the process for electronic delivery of Interior Health results from labs, diagnostic imaging and health record reports to physician's EMRs. POI aims to provide a means to share Health Authority clinical data with physicians via their EMR. POI strives to deliver patient data in a quick secure method.
Divisions of Family Practice
A initiative from the General Practice Services Committee: the Divisions of Family Practice is designed to bring together in a community, groups of family physicians (FPs) for the purposes of improving patient care, their own clinical practices and gaining more influence for better alignment between family practices and community-based services. There are two Divisions of Family Practice in the KBC region: Kootenay Boundary, led by Dr. Martha Wilson and East Kootenay, led by Dr. Atma Persad. 250.825.4688
