  • Sean works as an integral component of the PITO Team to provide "on the ground" support for high level workflow analysis, gap/ risk identification, integration of Clinical Practices and Change Management support.

  • The Relationship Manager supports physicians, clinics, and Communities of Practice (COPs) with strategies to enhance the use of the EMR in clinically meaningful ways at the individual and group levels.   The Relationship Manager works in partnership with PITO Practice Automation Coaches (PACs), COPs, Practice Support Program (PSP) Co-ordinators, Divisions of Family Practice, Physician and MOA Peer Mentors, and EMR vendors and is is the primary point of contact with these key stakeholders within the region.

Reasons for request examples but certainly not limited to: Information re: User Groups, updates on KBC COP, issues with broader impact to community of practice, coordinating Peer Mentor visits, implementing an EMR, KBC Special Projects and ideas for same etc.

 

Peer Support: Physician and MOA Mentors

Peer Support:

  • One of the advantages of using a PITO funded EMR is access to peer mentors.  Within KBC COP we have both physician and MOA mentors who are using Profile (the Intrahealth EMR) at an advanced level.  They are keen to help any COP members who are having difficulty using, implementing or optimizing their EMR. 
  • For simple inquiries a quick call or email can often clear things up.  For more involved training/ troubleshooting we recommend that you contact a Peer Mentor and they can then authorize an in depth visit or more lengthy support session through our PITO Practice Automation Coach or PITO Relationship Manager.
  • We encourage you to utilize this service, as often a very short phone call can save hours of frustration when you’re trying to figure something out.  Our peer mentors are remunerated for their time by PITO so your call, visit, etc. is not at their expense.
